Happy International Women’s Day

Happy Women’s Day!

This past year has seen some incredible developments …

We’ve seen the absolute devastation of certain countries and certain peoples around the world.  We’ve seen western media prejudice its audience with their incorrect ‘viewpoints’  about Muslims and Islam.  We’ve seen an insane tyrant in the White House grow even more inane and juvenile with each passing day.

We’ve also seen the “comeuppance” of many an individual who thought it was alright to stand in the way of, and abuse, many a person. We’ve seen the phenomenal growth of the #Metoo and #TimesUp movements.  We’ve seen Black Lives Matter grow and grow and grow.  We’ve seen interfaith conversations and multi-faith gatherings bring peace to a divided world. We’ve seen women (Finally) standing behind other women, having their backs, saying “I hear you,” and “I’ll fight for you,” and most importantly, “I believe you.”

We’ve seen what happens when women with common purpose and very powerful determination come together.  This is what changing the world looks like. That it had to come about as a response to horrendous abuses of power and privilege is unfortunate. That it’s here now is necessary. It’s universe-shifting; it’s the answer to the prayer of every woman who has found herself in the situation of “who will believe you?”

To every man and woman out there who participates in misogyny, I say to you: Times Up.

To every man and woman who support, stand by, love, and believe, I salute you. I honour you. I embrace you.  I thank you.

To all the people who make me stronger, better, more – to say thank you is a monumental shortfall. I shall say it anyway:  Asante Sana! Thank you. Merci Beaucoup. God Bless.

Happy International Women’s Day to all the phenomenal women of our little blue planet!

“Islamophobia has no room in this world. If we continue to blame Islam for this tragedy, then we are worse than isis. Isis is not Islam.”

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has ever been victim to the cruel attacks by savages purporting to be Muslim. These are acts of cowardice and barbarism. This is not Islam.

My thoughts are also with victims of Islamophobia.

We can change things by standing together because love will always, always, always overpower hate. 💗✌💞

To the most amazing creatures on the planet, I wish you all a very Happy  International Women’s Day!

To all the family members, friends, teachers, mentors, motivators, business partners, strangers and angels who have walked beside me and blessed me with their presence, I thank you.

I honour you.  I celebrate you.

Happy Women’s Day!

Kismet …

Serendipity:

An aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.

Good Fortune, Luck.

Something unusual happened to me this evening;  I was feeling rather insecure about a myriad number of things and something told me to go with my cousin for prayers.  So I did.

And am I ever Thankful!

Tonight I was greeted by Familiarity and welcomed by Grace.  Embraced by Light and carried into Kismet. I walked into a prayer hall and walked out with Spirit guiding and Blessing.  Tonight, the answers came.   God works through people.

Write. Sing.  Dance.  Take Pictures.  Act.  Make.  Dream.  Discover.  Explore.  Love.  Laugh.    Have Faith.  Teach.

There is a process much larger than all of us that hears us when we most need to be heard and loves us when we forget to love ourselves.

Tonight, I was reacquainted with Kismet and had a conversation with Serendipity.

Thank You.

than racism and racial profiling.  I love this GAP ad!!  We all have the power to end hateful taught behaviours.  Let’s begin by accepting Loving every kind of beautiful there is.

To Arsalan Iftikhar™@TheMuslimGuy, thank you for using Social Media as a platform to call for change!

We have all been programmed since our collective childhoods to believe that the world works in a certain way.  But here’s the truth of how this incredible Universe unfolds:  “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so to have the life that is waiting for us.”  (Joseph Campbell) For many of you, it will require an “unlearning” of everything you have been taught– the programming of “you have to.”

You have to go to school and you have to then get a job with benefits and you have to have a retirement plan and you have to get married and you have to have children, etc, etc.

The real truth is that the only thing you “have” to do is Live.  Be who you are at all times.  Love this.  Love you.  Love life.  Re-write the software that planned your life before your life began.

Re-write it, learn anew, learn what the Yogis and the Sufis and the Mystics and the Gnostics and the Taoists have been saying for centuries:  “You are the key. And you are enough.”  Life is short- be brave.

It is your turn now

“It is your turn now,
you waited, you were patient.
The time has come,
for us to polish you.
We will transform your inner pearl
into a house of fire.
You’re a gold mine.
Did you know that,
hidden in the dirt of the earth?
It is your turn now,
to be placed in fire.
Let us cremate your impurities.”
